I often find myself telling couples that me and rain very rarely see each other on wedding days, maybe i’m a bit of a lucky charm 🙂 However, on this day back in October that wasn’t the case, it rained all day!

It was my first time shooting at Kelmarsh and boy what an experience, this place has it all, and to a certain extent it needed to as it rained all day apart from a period of about 6 minutes.

I always say to couples if it rains, it rains, dont worry, let me do my thing and trust me. Thankfully Kelmarsh is a venue that if it does rain it can give you more than the necessary options to get some cracking images around the hall with the epic fireplace, tall ceilings, beautifully decorated function room and that staircase!

Before dinner we completed couple portraits but like any day i’m always looking for either pockets of light or today a pocket of time where the rain would stop. To my delight we had 6 mins where the rain had stopped and boy did i take advantage of it, i dont think i have ever worked so quickly to take advantage of those magical gardens at Kelmarsh
