There is something very special about a New Year’s Eve wedding with a reception at Wotton House and Chloe and James’s wedding was just perfect.
Bride and Groom Prep
Chloe and James made the perfect choice to get ready for their special day at Wotton Hotel. As I was working alone as a photographer, I was able to spend an equal amount of time between them both, creating wonderful memories with Chloe and the girls and James and the boys.
As I was taking pictures of Chloe, she talked about the car that James would be travelling to the Church in and that they would travel back to Wotton House. As she described it, I had visions of a classic vintage car in my mind. But when it finally arrived at Wotton House to take James to the Church, it was met with a few jokes from the guys – none of them expected what arrived! Yet despite its age and condition, there was something undeniably special about this little car – one that held great sentimental value for Chloe and James. And sure enough, not only did it make it to the church but also back again afterward!
Brides Dress
Chloe’s wedding was a true family affair – her Mum’s craftsmanship shone through in the stunning dress she created for her daughter’s special day. It easily topped my list of favorites! But Chloe’s Mum didn’t just stop there – her arranging prowess was on full display with the beautiful floral arrangements that graced the occasion.
The Church Ceremony
Chloe and James’ ceremony at St Nicholas Church Guildford was a great opportunity to capture some stunning moments. Despite the limitations on where I could stand, the arch in front of the church provided the perfect backdrop for capturing these special memories…
The Reception
After the ceremony, it was time to celebrate as guests made their way back to Wotton House for a wonderful drinks reception, wedding breakfast and evening of dancing.
Chloe’s brother and his mate were sadly unable to travel from Australia due to Covid restrictions, so a lifesized cutout of them both was made so they could join in on the family photos and dance floor festivities!
It was a fantastic day full of joy and laughter, with the dance floor being packed from start to finish – including some amazing shots taken just after the clock struck midnight. The chilly winter weather and light showers couldn’t hold back Chloe and James’ special memories; all their friends and family braved the elements to celebrate alongside them, capturing beautiful family photographs that will forever remind them of this incredible day!
